Hey! I’m Emma. I moved to Norway from Australia ten years ago after getting married to a boy from Bergen. I started as a guide while working also as a teacher, but guiding quickly became my main passion! When the world shut down during COVID, I started putting my notes up online as a blog called “I Love Bergen”, which is where the name comes from!
When the world began opening up, I thought I’d make my own tour and put it on TripAdvisor. It started getting popular, so I asked my guide friends if they’d like to lead the tour as well. After a couple seasons, we had our first hiring session! Now we have been in operation for 5 years and have an amazing team of 14 guides and growing.
We specialise in small-group tours around Bergen: from the Hanseatic wharfs of Bryggen to the fortress of Bergenhus, from hidden neighbourhoods to scenic hikes up Mt Fløyen. Our focus is on delivering authentic, locally-rooted experiences.
