Meet at the address Bradbenken 1, a brick building outside the fortress entrance. The building is located in front of the entrance to the Thon Hotel Orion.
Please meet at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the tourist office, by the fish market.
Please meet at the address Øvre Murallmenningen 23, outside the entrance to the Aksdal Raincoat Store.
Please meet outside the Julehuset shop on Bryggen.
Please meet outside the Heksesteinen - the witch monument - by the aquarium. It's located about 1km (0.6 miles) on foot from the tourist office, so allow extra time to get there.
Please arrive 10 minutes before departure. Our tours leave on time and guides cannot delay the group for late arrivals. Bookings more than 15 minutes late are automatically cancelled.
Bergen has several cruise terminals, so check your berth before setting off. You can check on the Bergen Havn website (click here)

Google Maps can sometimes suggest a steep route through residential streets. Use our recommended walking route instead
Walking
Most of our meeting points are within easy walking distance of central Bergen.
Taxi
We recommend 0700 Bergen Taxi. Uber is available, though availability can be limited.
Public Transport
Buses and the Bybanen light rail are operated by Skyss. Buy your tickets before boarding.
Driving
We don’t recommend driving into central Bergen. Parking is limited and expensive. Allow extra time if arriving by car.
Our public tours are graded as moderate and may include cobblestones, hills, stairs, and uneven surfaces.
Wheelchair uses and guests with mobility requirements are welcome. However, due to the nature of Bergen’s historic streets, some routes cannot be modified as it will change the advertised experience for the rest of the group.
A private tour allows us to tailor the pace and route around your mobility requirements.

Bergen’s weather is part of the experience, so bring a waterproof jacket and comfortable shoes and we’ll take care of the rest.
Tours run rain or shine. We only cancel if severe weather makes it unsafe to operate. If we cancel, guests are notified and refunded.

Changes and cancellations must be made through the company you booked with, including Tripadvisor and GetYourGuide.
Each of our tours has a different meeting point. You’ll find the exact location in your booking confirmation and in the Meeting Points section above. Please double-check your meeting point before setting off and arrive at least 10 minutes before your tour begins.
Our tours leave on time and unfortunately we can’t delay the group for late arrivals. Please aim to arrive at least 10 minutes early. Bookings more than 15 minutes late are considered a no-show and cannot join the tour.

Comfortable walking shoes are essential, as Bergen has plenty of cobblestones, hills and uneven surfaces. We also recommend dressing in layers and bringing a waterproof jacket – Bergen’s weather can change quickly.
Yes! Families are very welcome on our tours. However, some tours involve more walking, hills or stairs than others, so we recommend checking the individual tour description when travelling with younger children.
Yes, but please be aware that some routes include cobblestones, hills and stairs. If you’re unsure whether a particular tour will work with your pram, get in touch with us before booking.
Yes! Well-behaved dogs are welcome on our walking tours. Just send us a quick message beforehand so your guide knows to expect an extra four-legged guest.
We understand that cruise schedules can change, but our public tours must depart on time for the other guests. If your ship is delayed and you think you may miss your tour, contact us as soon as possible. Our normal cancellation and rebooking terms still apply, so we strongly recommend allowing plenty of time between your ship’s scheduled arrival and your tour.
We strongly recommend it. Our tours have limited group sizes and popular departures can sell out, particularly during the summer. If spaces remain, online bookings can be made right up until the tour begins.
No. All bookings must normally be paid online before the tour begins. Our guides don’t carry card readers and we don’t accept cash payments on the tour.
